I Heart Bavaria : Munich

So were you jealous?  Because I reached my goal in Munich.  Yes, lots of beer & lots of pretzels.  Just take a look.

I guess I should back up and tell you about the Munich trip.  We took the train from Chiemsee which Louis loved.  We were going to do a walking tour but couldn't find it so we did our own walk.  Anna knew a lot about the city and that combined with our Rick Steves book made for a good tour.  I love having Anna and her mom around to show us the way they like to eat & drink.  For example, they drink beer with Sprite (above) or with lemonade and also we got yummy cheese to eat with our pretzels.

The cheese is Obatzda (camembert cheese with spices) and SO good to dip pretzels.  The white sausage is a traditional breakfast sausage in Bavaria.  It was one of our favorite sausages on the trip.

We really enjoyed our day in Munich.  It was busier than we expected but some of that might have been the futbol fans that were in town for the game.  It is a bigger city so we could have spent a few days there and enjoyed it.  That night we went home & Anna's dad grilled sausages & beer.  Louis stayed up until midnight.  I think I fell asleep before he did.  He was like a little monkey jumping all over the room.  But I'd still say he is doing well on the trip.  We are in Switzerland now so I'll try to post more to catch everyone up on the trip!
